Pair of two freestanding gable-fronted former boathouses, built c.1820, now in use as stores. West boathouse comprises pitched corrugated iron roof, rubble stone and roughcast rendered walls and crenulated gable fronts with overhanging coping stones, pilasters, plat bands, rectangular decorative recesses and finial. Cruciform opening to gable front (south). Square-headed door opening with timber recess and lintel. Lean-to extension (east). East boathouse comprises rubble stone and roughcast rendered walls with crenulated elevations having coping stones and corner pilasters. Square-headed openings with timber lintels and sills. Cruciform openings to south elevation. Camber-headed door opening to west elevation.

These attractive and eye-catching Gothic Revival boathouses show extensive attention to detail, obvious in the elevation enlivening crenulated gable fronts and cruciform openings. The buildings demonstrate the former wealth of the demesne while also making a positive contribution to the coastal landscape.
