What is recorded here

Davies (1948a, 115) recorded the site of a plantation 'house and bawn' at this location. All that survives is a large moulded stone at the SW corner of the yard which may possibly be the base of a 17th-century turret. Otherwise there are no visible remains at ground level. The bawn may have been N of the house. Date of upload: 15 April, 2016
A local castle; wider significance not recorded.

This remains an important historical record, but the official description says the monument is no longer visible or has been destroyed. The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
