Freestanding cast-iron water pump, erected c. 1880, comprising cylindrical shaft with banding, fluted neck, spout and cap, having finial. Set on render base.
This pump forms an important part of its historic fabric of Oola. Water pumps such as this once played an important social and functional role providing a source of communal water. Details such as the banded shaft, fluted neck and cap add artistic interest to the pump.
