Ringcurran Burial GroundBurial ground · 14 ydComputer-made picture

Explorer Tom Ringcurran Burial Ground is another one next to Charles Fort, this time with a Trinity well just outside. The grave markers are concentrated on the south side, which is odd. Maybe the people preferred that spot for some reason.

Charles FortStore/warehouse · 193 yd

Explorer Tom Charles Fort in Forthill is just a store pretending it's a fort, which is hilarious if you think about it. It’s got an asymmetrical façade and seems to be hiding behind its own wall like it did something wrong. Bring your binoculars and find the red brick!

Charlesfort LighthouseLighthouse · 336 ydFairy fort / earthen ringfort in ClonleighFairy fort / earthen ringfort · 831 ydComputer-made picture

Explorer Tom Clonleigh is levelled except for one side, so it’s like a circle that got sliced by a cheese knife. The seagulls say it’s 'overrated' but they’re biased because they can’t land. Go back in winter; it’s a different animal then, colder and grumpier.

Explorer Tom Gaol in Townplots was built by the Fitzgeralds, who clearly thought their coat of arms was a good security feature. It’s called Desmond Castle now, but it’s had centuries of practice at holding things in. Make a wish, it’s had plenty of time to think about it.

Ringrone Castle (in Ruins)Castle, tower house · 1.4 mi

Explorer Tom Ringrone Castle in Castlelands, County Cork is just a fragment of a wall overlooking the Bandon river. Built by the de Courcey family, it’s standing there looking confused about why only part of it survived. Wave to the river mouth for me, it likes attention!

Battle of KinsaleMajor battlefield · 1.6 mi

Explorer Tom Battle of Kinsale in County Cork was just a long, wet siege where everyone waited for help that never really showed up. Bring curiosity, leave with a better story than mine.
