Located towards the head of a sligt NW-SE valley. The well, known as Tobar na bhFiacal - the Teeth Well, and described as such on the 1840 and 1927 eds of the OS 6-inch map is an open pond (dims. 4m N-S; 2-3m E-W), which may be an origin of the stream in the valley. Tobernaveakle, also known as Tobar na bhFiacal or the Teeth Well, is associated with a tradition of curing toothache, a practice common at many Irish holy wells linked to Saint Gobnait or other saints connected with dental healing.
