Marked on the 1938-9 ed. of the 'OS 6-inch' map as 'Teac Alluis'. Bulldozed in mid 1960's. Described as 'A circular stone building, rather crudely constructed, it is 6 and a half feet in diameter and 6 feet high. It is also roofed with stone. linked to Saint Alluis (or Ailbe), a 5th-century Irish saint associated with Cooley Peninsula; the site may have been a small oratory or holy well used for pilgrimage and healing rituals. The structure was likely destroyed during agricultural development, erasing much of its physical and ritual significance.
