What is recorded here
An irregular spread (L 10m) consisting of a large number of oak planks with ash and hazel roundwood, orientated NNE-SSW, was exposed in a drain face, and on and near the field surface. The timbers were well spaced with no direct contact between them but their general proximity and similarity in form suggested that they were functionally associated. A single mortice and abundant toolmarks were evident.
