Attached gable-fronted three-storey three-bay store, built c.1850, with integral carriageway to ground floor. Now vacant. Pitched slate roof with clay ridge tiles, stone coping stones, and cast-iron rainwater goods. Coursed rubble stone walls with rock-faced quoins. Red brick block-and-start dressings, stone sills to window openings, and timber sheeted doors to openings. Red brick surround to segmental-headed integral carriageway with recent timber sheeted door having original iron hinges. Remains of hoist to side elevation opening. Wrought-iron double-leaf gates with recent pebble-dashed walls enclosing site.

This building is an important component of the industrial heritage of Kingscourt. The former store retains its original form and features, in particular the hoist mechanism. The stone finish and attractive contrast of red brick make for a striking addition to the streetscape. The quality of the stonework also records the craftsmanship of previous generations.
