In level pasture, on saddle between Maunvaugh hill and lower ridge to S, overlooking Owennashingaun river basin to E. Axial stone missing, interior of circle filled with field stones. Orthostats are 0.6m to 1m L, 0.3m to 0.4m T and 0.4m to 0.6m H. Estimated internal measurement along main axis, aligned NE-SW, is c. 3m. (Ó Nualláin 1984, 43, no. 87; Roberts 1988, Ch. 5, no. 2). Likely dating to the Neolithic or Early Bronze Age, the stone circle at Inchybegga may have been used for ceremonial, astronomical, or communal gatherings. Its axial stone and orientation suggest possible ritual significance, though its specific meaning or folklore remains unrecorded.
