Large late 19th century mill incorporating part of earlier structure, built into slope overlooking Owennashingann river. Five-bay, 2-storey with broad 5-bay gable ends; windows brick dressed. Cast iron overshot waterwheel (Wth 1.9m; radius 3.65m) along S elev.; segment wheel attached to outside shrouding, pinion engaged externally. Interior has large central stairs up to 1st. floor; no internal machinery survives. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork.
