What is recorded here

Lisrobin West still holds a four-foot-eight stone with seven-foot-nine girth, recorded by Bowman in 1934 on T. Moynihan's land. Its exact position has slipped from local memory, but the measurements preserve more than a vague landmark. The stone may have marked a boundary, a burial, a meeting place or a warning about visible and invisible claims. Forgetting its function does not erase the shape it kept in the earth.

Bowman (1934, 471) recorded standing stone on T. Moynihan's land, '...4ft 8in by 7ft 9in girth'. Exact location not known.
