Killakee HouseHouse · 272 yd

Explorer Tom Killakee House is a multiple phase site that makes a bold impression on passing roads. It retains its original proportions despite refurbishment, looking like it’s got a secret. Tell the kids it’s haunted by ghosts who just want to pay the mortgage on time!

Hell Fire ClubRuins · 424 yd

Explorer Tom Hell Fire Club in County Dublin was where people drank too much and did questionable things under the stars. The vibes are still a bit spooky, I reckon. Mind the bats!

Passage tomb in MontpelierPassage tomb · 442 ydComputer-made picture

Explorer Tom Passage tomb in Montpelier is next to the Hell Fire Club ruins, so it’s got some serious edgy neighbours. It’s on a hilltop pretending to be mysterious but mostly just cold. It's the kind of place that makes a dull Tuesday interesting if you don't catch pneumonia.

CairnArchaeological place · 443 ydComputer-made picture

Explorer Tom Cairn is a pile of stones that looks like it was left by a lazy giant who gave up halfway. It’s not doing much except sitting there and collecting moss while you look at it.

Montpelier HillMountain / peak · 445 yd

Explorer Tom Montpelier Hill is famous for the Hell Fire Club at dawn. The sun comes up over it in a mysterious way, so watch the light change and pretend you’re about to make a dangerous pact with a devil.

Dublin Mountains Way Hellfire & Massey SpurWalking route · 588 ydComputer-made picture

Explorer Tom The Dublin Mountains Way Hellfire & Massey Spur again in County Dublin, it's becoming a bit of a theme. I bet the 'hellfire' is just the sun beating down on your head. Stay hydrated and ignore the overly dramatic trail markers.

Massey WoodWood · 958 yd

Explorer Tom Massey Wood in County Dublin has ruins of a garden and saw mill. Lord Massey built it, then it broke. Classic. The Dublin Mountains Way goes through here, so follow the path!

Mount Venus CemeteryCemetery · 1719 yd

Explorer Tom Mount Venus Cemetery in County Dublin is dreaming of ancient gods. No details recorded, so I’m imagining it’s full of people who really believed they could fly with wings made of leaves.

Children's playground1.3 miComputer-made picture

Explorer Tom Children's playground in County Dublin looks like it’s waiting for a rescue mission. The equipment is scattered oddly. Maybe a giant hand moved it? Take a photo for the evidence.

Pine ForestForest · 1.5 mi

Explorer Tom Pine Forest in County Dublin saw a white Christmas back in 2004. The pines were probably freezing their needles off. Bring a hat if you want to survive.

Tibradden MountainMountain / peak · 2.0 mi

Explorer Tom Tibradden Mountain in County Dublin is showing off, seen clearly from Montpelier Hill. It’s just a big hill acting important, but hey, it has a name! Take a photo for me while you’re there, love.

New PlaygroundChildren's playground · 2.2 miComputer-made picture

Explorer Tom New Playground in County Dublin is confusing everyone with its generic name. It’s probably full of brand-new monsters that haven’t learned how to scare yet. Go introduce yourself to the new arrivals!
