Standing stone in Cartronbrack is a large, irregularly shaped limestone upright in undulating pasture, tapering to a point and aligned NNE-SSW. Several packing-stones rest at its base. The stone may have marked a boundary, a meeting place or a remembered event. Its shape still suggests purpose, even when the human story has thinned into silence.
