Standing stone in Ballybricken West is a leaning limestone marker in County Limerick, not much taller than a child’s waist. It sits on a low rise above gently undulating pasture, its narrow rectangular body tilted westward like a person listening for news from beyond the field. Cattle have rubbed its edges smooth, perhaps for generations, turning an old sharp stone into a warm-handled thing they know by touch.
