Small semicircular stone-built well (diam. c. 1m) partially covered by a large flat slab. Patterns were formerly held here annually on March 17th but the practice has died out (local information). Linked to St. Patrick, the well was traditionally associated with healing and pilgrimage, particularly observed on his feast day, March 17th, when annual patterns or festivals were held. The practice of these local celebrations has since ceased, though the site remains a relic of pre-modern Catholic devotional customs in Ireland.
