St. Bridget’s Well is associated with St. Brigid of Kildare, a prominent early Irish Christian saint linked to fertility, healing, and protection. Traditionally, such wells were visited for their curative properties, particularly for women’s health, and were often marked by local customs such as leaving clooties or making offerings.
