What is recorded here
On a gentle SW-facing slope. There is no evidence of a settlement, implied in the name Oldtown, associated with the Roman Catholic chapel of Oldtown (RO026-037001-). Archaeological testing (07E0153) in the vicinity produced no related material other than traces of an earthen bank that may have surrounded the church but there were no burials (Casey 2007).
