Excavated (E3486) during 2005 by E. Moore as part of Site 21 at Coolnaveagh, which was one of the excavations undertaken in advance of the construction of the N11 Arklow-Gorey link-road. Situated on a slight E-facing slope with the canalised N-S Banoge River c. 170m to the E. A penannular ditch (Wth 1.06-1.23m; max. D 0.3m) enclosed a circular area (int. diam. 4.7m; ext. diam. 6.3m) with an opening (Wth 2.4m) at N. Some cremated bone was found in the fill, most of it from a pit (dims 0.8m x 0.5m; D 0.32m) on the outer edge of the ditch at S. The cremation pit (WX012-033002-) is c. 60m to the ENE.
