Detached seven-bay two-storey house, built c. 1720, with lean-to extension to west, outbuildings to east. Pitched corrugated-iron roof to south, roof missing to north, exposed undressed tree branch rafters and roof beams, red brick tapered chimney, tapering towards stack. Mud and stone walls, some covered by lime-wash. Square-headed window openings, painted stone sills, painted timber six-over-three sliding sash windows to ground floor, three-over-three to first floor. Gable-fronted entrance porch to east with timber bargeboards to gable, square-headed door opening, painted timber door surmounted by plain glazed overlight. House set back from road, outbuildings to east of stone and mud walling and corrugated-iron roofs. House covered by modern shed for protection. Square-profile stone gate piers and wrought-iron gate give access to site.

Complexes like this vernacular grouping were once common sites all around rural Ireland though they are disappearing from the landscape. This group of structures, the house in particular, are vitally important to Ireland's built heritage. The construction methods used, for example the mud walling and tree branch rafters, give an insight into the building methods of such structures.
