There are no visible remains and the precise location is not known. The possible Man-made underground passage (LH018-017002-) is associated with it, but its precise location is not known. A castle at Tullydonnell in Drimcar parish is recorded on the Down Survey (1656–58) and is locally known as Bolton's Castle; its significance lies in its historical depiction and possible association with early modern landholding in the region.

This remains an important historical record, but the official description says the monument is no longer visible or has been destroyed. The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
