Marked on the 1911 'OS 6-inch' map as 'St. Finian's Well'. The OS Letters refer to a well dedicated to St. Fiónan and a station being held here at one time (CLAJ 1921, 32). The well hole (diam. 0.55m) was almost closed in when inspected by ASI in 1966.

St. Finian's Well is associated with St. Fiónan (or Finian), an early Irish saint known for founding monastic sites in Counties Meath and Louth. The well was historically a site of pilgrimage and holy water collection, with a station indicating it was used for ritual processions or devotional practices.
