What is recorded here

Indicated is a trapezoidal enclosure on a Kerry ridge, guarding a children's burial ground above the Roughty River. Its western entrance still faces the valley, while trees have since swallowed much of the interior. The shape suggests people wanted the dead kept separate, visible and held within a boundary they could return to.

In pasture, on the crest of a ridge overlooking the valley of the Roughty River to the N. A trapezoidal area (26.5m E-W; 15m N-S at W; 10m N-S at E) enclosed by a scarp (max. H 3.6m). The entrance is at W where the scarp is lowest. A children's burial ground (KE093-027002-) is in the interior. The enclosure is overgrown with trees and undergrowth.
