New site identified by John Cronin & Associates (JCA) under Licence No. 16E0127 prior to wind farm development in Grousemount, Kilgarvan, Co. Kerry by ESB Wind Development Ltd. The remains of a hut site located on gentle downward slope (to north) c.30m south of main wind farm spine road as it approaches the Roughty River crossing (river crossing 18) in the vicinity of CH26-CH30. Located at ITM grid co-ord. 508123, 568613. Defined by a low sub-circular bank of large dry-stones measuring 2.5m E-W by 2m N-S and 0.3m to 0.5m high. The wall remnants are 2-3 courses high and measure up to 0.8m wide. The feature is largely obscured from view during the summer months due to vegetation growth.
