Fairy fort / earthen ringfort in Garraun (Ballysheehan parish) is a fairy fort or earthen ringfort in Garraun (Ballysheehan parish), County Tipperary, Ireland. The earth and stone bank encloses a circular area 30 metres north to south and 32 metres east to west. The bank is best preserved along the east quadrant, while the outer ditch is clearest from east through south to southwest. Possible wall footings of a rectangular house appear in the southeast quadrant where they run off the edge of the scarp.
On poorly drained reclaimed grassland at base of a W-facing hill in upland region with good views to N and W higher ground to E. Small stream running E-W immediately to N of ringfort. Slightly raised circular area (int. diam. 30m N-S; 32m E-W) enclosed by an earth and stone bank (top Wth 1.2m; base Wth 3m; int. H 0.3m; ext. H 0.5m) best preserved along E quadrant of ringfort and elsewhere has been reduced to a scarp (H 0.6m) with outer fosse (base Wth 6m; top Wth 4m; ext. D 0.5-0.8m) best preserved from E through S to SW. Possible wall-footings of a rectangular house (TS053-078001-) in SE quadrant of ringfort where it appears to run off edge of scarp along SE quadrant of interior. The field boundaries to N and S of ringfort which are depicted on the 1953-4 ed. OS 6-inch map have been removed.
