Corrugated-iron roofs, with cast-iron and uPVC rainwater goods, and having rendered chimneystacks to station. Corrugated-iron walls, with concrete block walls to extensions. Square-headed openings with timber fixed windows to station building. Remains of internal features present; internal panelling, waiting room benches, internal doors and ticket office hatch. Corrugated-iron sliding doors to goods shed. Rubble stone platforms with concrete, red brick and dressed stone copings.
These modest structures are prominent features in the landscape and are reminders of the extent of the rail network in the past. The corrugated-iron is a notable historic building material which was often used by rail companies at the time, who were quick to realise the potential of this inexpensive mass produced material which allowed for rapid construction.
