What is recorded here

Cast-iron wall-mounted post box, erected c.1930, with 'P&T' emblem in Gaelic script. Manufacturer's name 'Jessop Davis Enniscorthy' inscribed on base.
The modest form of this post box is enhanced by its we designed lettering, which is of a style employed throughout post-Independence Ireland. An object of social and technical interest, it contributes to the streetscape.
