What is recorded here

Cast-iron post box, erected c.1940 and set in rendered wall pier, next to former Methodist church.
Cast-iron post boxes such as this are important elements of the social and urban fabric of towns. Although simple in design, the high-relief casting of the lettering is well executed.

This does not grant access. Most recorded buildings are privately owned; view them only from public ground unless the owner allows entry.
