Wall-mounted cast-iron post box, erected c.1915, with GR and crown monogram. Set into uncoursed random limestone wall.
This cast-iron post box is an important feature in the social and urban fabric of the town. Though simple in design, the high relief detailing of the lettering and crown is of technical and artistic interest.
