What is recorded here
Painted carved sandstone milestone, erected c.1850, with inscription in recessed face reading 'M.HAMILTON 9, BUNDORAN 25, E.SKILLEN 34'. Milestone is set at base of stone boundary wall to Church of Ireland graveyard.
The form and carving of the milestone is similar to others found in Co. Leitrim. It is both technically interesting and visually appealing and, as part of the street furniture, it contributes to the heritage of the town.
This does not grant access. Most recorded buildings are privately owned; view them only from public ground unless the owner allows entry.
