L-shaped pier with slipway built c. 1850, refurbished c. 2000. Rubble stone and concrete slightly battered walls to pier, dressed limestone capstones, limestone steps to sea from north pier, tapered limestone capstans, limestone paved carriageway with concrete repairs. Insitu concrete slipway. Concrete sea wall to north side of north pier, concrete steps to east and west sides of walkway. Flat-roofed concrete winch shed to top of slipway.
This fine pier and slipway is well-integrated into the coastline. Some original features such as stone paving kerbs and capstans survive.
