What is recorded here

Detached two-bay two-storey house, dated 1905, having gabled projecting bay and box bay window to east elevation, with multiple-bay entrance elevation with projecting porch to south. Pitched and hipped slate roofs with rendered and red brick chimneystacks. Red brick and rendered walls. Decorative render detailing to gabled bay. Timber casement windows, set in tripartite arrangements to gabled projecting bay, and in paired arrangement to adjoining bay, with box bay window to ground floor. Conservatory to south elevation. Roughly dressed limestone boundary walls with square-profile red brick gate piers and wrought-iron double leaf gates.
An excellent example of the high quality detached housing which was built in this part of the city in the early twentieth century, as the city spread into the surrounding countryside, forming fashionable new suburbs of detached houses with landscaped gardens. It forms part of an interesting group with the contemporary houses to the south. The boundary walls and gates add to its setting and context.
