What is recorded here
Ten heavy castles still mark the O'Dowd coast, but this is the first: a bruised stone ring above Easky where black-sea men watched for Burkes, Birminghams and every unwanted guest. Dubda's line carried that watch from Connacht's oldest kings into the tidal dark, and the castle keeps their shape. Stand inside the broken wall at low water and the bay sounds like a hall waiting for someone to answer.
O'Dowd Castle is recorded as a ruins in County Sligo. Its open map record supplies this location and any linked names or public references.
