What is recorded here

Detached circular-plan windmill, built c. 1750, now in ruins. Random rubble stone walling. Narrow loop windows, stone lintels. Four-centred arched door openings to east and west, flat stone voussoirs to arches. Windmill set on elevated site within field.
This windmill would have originally contained a functioning mechanism and windmill sails, although these no longer remain, the structure is an important reminder of a bygone era as well as being a structure of technical interest. Due to its elevated position it is visible from much of the surrounding countryside and plays an important role in the architectural heritage of the area.
