What is recorded here

Detached six-bay three-storey mill, built c.1800, currently undergoing renovation. Pitched slate roof. Rubble stone walls with cast-iron tie-plates and red brick dressings to openings. Remains of millrace to site, with replacement mill wheel.
This former mill is an interesting reminder of the industrial activity which was once associated with the area. Though currently undergoing renovations, the former mill retains many original features and materials, such as the brick dressings and slate roof. The former millrace and related outbuildings to the site enhance the setting and the context of the former mill.
