In 1612 Robert Dillon of Cannorstown was granted in 'Rathduffe otherwise Rogerstown, containing a castle (WM025-088----), a hall, 20 houses, a mill, and 2 plowlands' (Cal. pat. rolls Ire., Jas I, 228). The precise location of this medieval mill within the townland of Rogerstown has not been identified.
