Freestanding cut-limestone milestone, c.1870, with cast-iron plaque. Road fronted in rubble stone boundary wall.
A milestone making a pleasing, if largely inconspicuous visual statement on the side of the road. The cast-iron plaque is embossed: "CORK/14/COVE/¾/MILES".
