Limestone milestone, erected c.1800, inscribed on one side, now illegible. Situated next to random rubble stone wall on grass verge to road side.
This milestone is a reminder of the great coaching era in Ireland when the post office operated a coach based system of postal distribution. The milestone is of considerable social and historical interest and makes a positive impact on the streetscape.
