Mass-rock in Boardee

Stone built into field fence. According to local tradition, used as mass-rock during penal times. (pers. comm. S. Used as a mass-rock during the Penal Times when Catholic worship was banned, it served as a secret site for religious gatherings. No specific saint or cure is associated with the site, though such rocks were often linked to local devotions and acts of faith.
