Under Port, a man-made passage waits inside earth that once grew oats or hosted prayers. Tradition calls it a cave hidden beneath Mass Field or Chapel Field, suggesting worship and memory may have shaped the dug space. Whether built for shelter, storage or ritual, the chamber still holds human intention beneath an ordinary Irish landscape.
