Detached three-bay single-storey gate lodge, built c.1860, with advanced gable-fronted bay to centre having decorative timber barge boards over. Hipped and pitched natural slate roofs with rendered chimneystacks and decorative timber barge boards. Rendered walls with square-headed openings. Set back from road at the main entrance to Lisnabin Castle (15402014) and to the immediate south of the associated entrance gates (15402015).

An attractive small-scale gate lodge, of mid-to-late nineteenth-century appearance, which retains its early form and character despite being no longer in use. The decorative barge boards are an interesting and attractive feature that help to give this building a strong character and presence in the rural landscape to the west of Killucan. It forms part of an important group of related structures within the Lisnabin Castle Demesne along with the main house (15402014) and the outbuildings (15402032) and forms an attractive self-contained pair with the associated entrance gates to the north (15402015).
