Detached three-bay two-storey gate lodge, built c.1880, having gabled half-dormer windows to front (south-east) and lean-to extension to rear (north-west). Pitched slate roof having terracotta ridge cresting with end finials, timber bargeboards to gables, rendered chimneystack and cast-iron rainwater goods. Rendered walls throughout. Square-headed window openings with rendered sills, having replacement timber casement windows to front elevation and one-over-one pane timber sliding sash windows to side (north-east) elevation. Square-headed door openings with glazed timber door to front elevation and timber battened door to rear. Square-profile rendered gate piers and walls with cast-iron gates.

This fine lodge has retained much of its character and charm. Features of particular interest include the decorative ridge cresting, finials and timber bargeboards, with sash windows further enhancing its historic appearance. Surviving largely intact, it is a handsome roadside addition.
