Kerb circle in Scartnadrinymountain

Situated on a col below Carrickaruppera rock outcrop, c. 300m to the N and an area of rock outcrop c. 100m to the SE. Five clearly visible stones and two others barely protruding from the sod form a circle (diam. 4.6m) which is open S-W, with the long axes of the stones on the circumference. An outlier (dims. 0.55m x 0.15m; H 0.45m) oriented NE-SW is 9m SW of the centre. A ring-cairn (WA014-009001-) is adjacent to the outlier. It was removed by forestry operations in 1993, but the area remains unplanted. (Moore 1995, 207-9, N1) Moore, M.
