Jeremiah's Island is a small islet located in the River Blackwater near Clogheen, County Tipperary, not Cork, and is historically associated with the 1798 Irish Rebellion. It is notable as the site where rebels, led by local farmer Jeremiah O’Donovan, made a last stand against British forces, giving the island its name and a place in Irish revolutionary history.
