Freestanding railway signal post, erected 1893, no longer in use. Vertical painted cast-iron post set in concrete base with attached iron ladder. Signal mechanism consisting sub-val signal, stained glass panels, pipe and operating handle. Located within former railway station yard.
As part of the railway group of Baltimore, also comprising the former station, master's house and goods shed, this signal is part of the extensive rail network that formerly existed throughout Ireland.
