What is recorded here

St. Stephens Green, one of the earliest and largest of Dublin's great squares was enclosed as a park in 1664. The Corporation leased eighty-nine lots with ninety-nine year leases which were distributed by ballot around the periphery of the park (Killanin & Duignan, 1967, 223; De Breffny & Ffolliott 1975, 58; Somerville & Large 1996, 102).

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
