On the E slope of the Coppanagh Hills, in reclaimed pasture. Indicated on the 1st (1839) ed. OS map as a roughly square enclosure (dims. c. 33m N-S; c. 30m E-W) and shown on the 1900-01 revision of this map as a slightly more irregular shape, with the W side being longer than the E. On the later map furze are depicted in the interior and in the fields to the W and NW. A roughly square raised area (int. dims. 24m by 22m) enclosed by low wide earthen bank (Wth 6m; H 0.5m), dry fosse (Wth 2.5m; D 1.5m) and outer bank (Wth 6m; H 0.8m). (Barry 1977, 191).
