What is recorded here

Marked as a wooded enclosure on the 1839 (diam. c. 65m) and 1924 (diam. c. 55m) eds of the OS 6-inch map, and situated on a hillock. This is a circular overgrown area (diam. c. 50m) with mature trees and tree stumps defined by a slight earthen bank (Wth 2m; H 0.5m) and with traces of an external fosse (Wth 1m). There is no visible entrance. It may be a landscape feature. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Wexford' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1996).
