Marked as a circular wooded enclosure on the 1839 (diam. c. 55m) and the 1924 (diam. c. 45m) eds of the OS 6-inch map, and located on a W-E spur with the SW-NE Boro River c. 300m to the S and Wilton Castle on the other side of the river c. 500m to the E. This is a circular wooded area (diam. 46m N-S) defined by a low earthen bank (Wth 3-4.5m; int. H 0.5m; ext. H 0.8-1.1m) with an external fosse (Wth of top 3.5-4.5m; D 0.5m). There is no visible entrance, and it is probably a landscape feature.
