What is recorded here

Indicated is a fairy fort in County Cork, Ireland. It appeared on the 1842 map as a circular enclosure thirty-five metres wide, but ploughs and people erased most of that shape. A low rise still traces the south bank eastward, and stones scatter across the field like forgotten words. The fort has lost its wall, yet it keeps its name and refuses to stop marking the land.
