What is recorded here

In pasture, immediately S of the Morningstar River that forms the townland boundary with Mitchesltowndown East. Possible barrows (LI049-029002/004-) lie 90m to the NE. Not marked on OSi 6-inch maps. Potential earthwork identified as a rectangular cropmark on Bórd Gáis Éireann Curraleigh West-Limerick gas pipeline aerial photographs (BGE 1/5000; 2779, Site 249) taken 03/11/1984. Monument visible as a rectangular-shaped cropmark on Digital Globe orthoimage taken between 2011-13 and on Google Earth orthoimages. The earthwork appears to be the remains of a levelled building with attached field boundary depicted at this location on the 1840 ed. OSi 6-inch map.
